A brief introduction.

Tina (Christina) Hancock is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervision credentials. She has been licensed as an independent therapist since 2008 and has been working independently since 2010. She has worked in public mental health serving victims and offenders of domestic and sexual abuse. She has also worked in an inpatient psychiatric facility.

Thoughts about therapy.

She brings a perspective that everyone faces challenges at some point in their lives. Some challenges are simple and some are more complex. The healing and growing process is individual.

Tina has training and experience with a variety of treatment modalities which are applied on an individual basis according to needs, including Advanced Certification in EMDR Therapy and Level I Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

She uses a trauma model perspective that follows that trauma is stored in the mind and body. Working with these perspectives assists the client in changing how the trauma affects them today and into the future.

If spirituality is something that is important to you, that can be incorporated as well.

Tina works with those ages 15 and older who are dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues both individually and with couples. She works with Anthem, Aetna, Optum, Medical Mutual, Paramount, and Medicare insurances.

Reach out.

The decision to deal with the pain and trauma from the past is not an easy decision and takes a lot of courage. Support, encouragement, and compassion are part of the healing process. Please reach out and let's get started.
